Description

The 1.8-inch TFT LCD Display is brand new and high quality.
This lovely little TFT LCD Display breakout is the best way to add a small, colorful, and bright to any project. Since the TFT Screen uses 4-wire SPI to communicate and has its own pixel-addressable frame buffer, it can be used with every kind of microcontroller. Even a very small one with low memory and few pins available!

The 1.8″ TFT LCD Display has 128×160 color pixels. Unlike the low-cost “Nokia 6110” and similar LCD displays, which are CSTN type and thus have poor color and slow refresh, this TFT Screen is a true TFT! The TFT driver (ST7735R) can display full 18-bit color (262,144 shades!). And the display will always come with the same driver chip so there are no worries that your code will not work from one to the other. The breakout has the TFT Screen soldered on as well as an ultra-low-dropout 3.3V regulator and a 3/5V level shifter so you can use it with 3.3V or 5V power and logic.

3/3 worked.

Got three of them all working(1 with Arduino Leonardo and 2 with NodeMCU ESP8266).arduino will need a solution to the 5v out 3.3v in(10s solder job) NodeMCU is directly compatible.i used adafruits code.Very happy. getting more. also hiletgo products have all been functional so far. becoming a fan.Update: switched to TFT_eSPI.h library. Wow. Orders of magnitude faster display now. A bit trickier to setup but well worth it.

the display was dead on arrival and only the back-light ...

the display was dead on arrival and only the back-light would turn on. I tried multiple testing programs in the Arduino IDE and double checked the wiring.edit: their customer service was quick and they agreed to send another unit. I will update when it arrives.

ILI9340 compatible, Fast SPI ~30Mhz SCLK

Works great with ILI9340 driver library for PIC32. No problems running SPI bus at 30Mhz, but glitches past 34Mhz to no response at 40Mhz for those wondering about max transfer speed for drawing. Very responsive at 20Mhz+ Hardware SPI clock.

Works well on STM32 Blue Pill board

These little displays are bright, easy to use, and for their resolution and size, have a pleasing output. Use the eTFT libraries and you'll have a blast using these displays. Enjoy :)

Would have liked a little documentation, but worked it out pretty easily. Controller info is on the box. Works fine. Protection film over the screen.

Good price. Bright display.

Bright display. Easy to program with Arduino environment and Adafruit GFX and ILI9341 libraries. Runs well with 3.3V. Can run 5V by shorting out J1 on back with a solder blob, but it supposedly shortens the display life. SPI interface is fairly slow, even with an ESP32, but it works for my application. Has an SD card interface, but I haven't tried it yet.
