The motor is operated in four quadrants viz, clockwise; counter-clockwise, instantaneous forward brake, and instantaneous reverse brake. The speed of the \u003cstrong\u003eDC motor\u003c\/strong\u003e is directly proportional to the DC voltage applied across its terminals.
