SN75176BDR RS-485 Interface IC – SOP-8 Package, Low Power, High Performance
The driver and receiver have active-high and active-low enable, respectively, that can be connected externally to function as a direction control. The driver differential outputs and the receiver differential inputs are connected internally to form differential input/output (I/O) bus ports that are designed to offer minimum loading to the bus when the driver is disabled or VCC = 0. These ports feature wide positive and negative common-mode voltage ranges, making the device suitable for party-line applications.
Building Automation and HVAC Control Building management systems (BMS) use RS-485 for communicating between lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and access control modules. The IC’s ability to operate over long distances and in challenging conditions makes it a suitable choice.
Point-of-Sale (POS) Systems POS terminals often require RS-485-based communication to interface with peripherals such as printers, scanners, and displays. The SN75176BDR ensures stable and fast data exchange between these components.

Description
SN75176BDR RS-485 Interface IC – SOP-8 Package, Low Power, High Performance
The SN75176BDR is a differential Bus Transceiver is designed for bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. They are designed for balanced transmission lines and meet ANSI standards TIA/EIA-422-B and TIA/EIA-485-A and ITU recommendations V.11 and X.27. The SN75176B devices combine a 3-state differential line driver and a differential input line receiver, both of which operate from a single 5V power supply.

Applications
Remote Sensor Data Transmission In applications where sensors are located far from the main control unit (e.g., in environmental monitoring or smart agriculture), the SN75176BDR allows efficient and noise-resistant data transfer via RS-485.Building Automation and HVAC Control Building management systems (BMS) use RS-485 for communicating between lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and access control modules.
