The Winsen MQ-5 Gas Detection Sensor is an original, brand-new semiconductor sensor designed for detecting LPG (Propane), Methane (CH₄), and Butane gas leakage. It uses SnO₂ (Tin Dioxide) as the sensitive material, which exhibits low conductivity in clean air and increases conductivity as the concentration of flammable gas rises.The MQ-5 sensor provides a reliable and cost-effective solution for flammable gas detection. Changes in gas concentration can be easily converted into corresponding output signals using a simple drive circuit. With high sensitivity to LPG, methane, and propane, this sensor is widely used in safety, industrial, and DIY gas monitoring applications.
