Specification

Description

This is Pro Mini ATMEGA328P 3.3V/8MHz is a 3.3V Arduino running the 8MHz bootloader. Pro Mini ATMEGA328P comes with connectors so that you can solder connectors or wire with any orientation you need. We recommend that first-time Arduino users start with the Uno R3. It’s a great board that will get you up and running quickly. The Arduino Pro series is meant for users that understand the limitations of system voltage (3.3V), lack of connectors, and USB off-board.

The Pro Mini Kit is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, an onboard resonator, a reset button, and holes for mounting pin headers. A six-pin header can be connected to an FTDI cable to provide USB power and communication to the board.

The Development Board  Microcontroller is intended for semi-permanent installation in objects or exhibitions. The board comes with headers, allowing the use of various types of connectors or direct soldering of wires. The pin layout is compatible with the Mini Arduino.

Features:

ATmega328P Microcontroller: The microcontroller is the core component of the board. It offers 32KB of Flash memory for storing your code, 2KB of SRAM for data storage, and 1KB of EEPROM for non-volatile data storage.

Clock Speed: The "8M" in the board's name indicates an 8 MHz clock speed, which determines the speed at which the microcontroller executes instructions.

Voltage Regulation: The board operates at a voltage of 3.3V, which is suitable for applications that require lower power consumption and compatibility with 3.3V components.

Digital and Analog I/O Pins: Similar to other Arduino-compatible boards, the Pro Mini offers a set of digital and analog pins that can be used for various input and output tasks.

PWM Outputs: Some pins can be configured as Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) outputs, which are useful for controlling the brightness of LEDs, motor speed, and other analog-like applications.

Voltage Regulator: The onboard voltage regulator ensures stable operation by providing the necessary voltage to the microcontroller and other components.

I/O Headers: The headers on the board allow you to connect external components such as sensors, actuators, and displays.

Reset Button: The reset button is used to restart the microcontroller, initiate programming, and reset the execution of your code.

LED Indicators: The board typically includes indicator LEDs, including one that's connected to pin 13. These LEDs can be controlled by your code and are often used for debugging and status indication.

Applications:

Wearable Electronics: Due to its small size and lower operating voltage, the Pro Mini is commonly used in wearable electronics projects. You can create smart clothing, fitness trackers, and other wearable gadgets.

Sensor Nodes: The board is suitable for creating sensor nodes that can monitor and transmit data from various sensors such as temperature, humidity, motion, and light sensors. These nodes can be part of a larger sensor network for environmental monitoring.

IoT Devices: The Pro Mini is used in Internet of Things (IoT) applications where you need to connect sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers to the Internet. This could involve sending data to a cloud service or receiving commands remotely.

Not as simple as USB versions

Once you've figured out that these are FTDI instead of USB, then you're going to need to hook it up. The attached photo might help you.

Programming - DTR connection

When you program, I use FT232RL FTDI Mini USB to TTL Serial Converter Adapter. Keep in mind that DTR in FTDI should be connected to GRN or DTR in mini pro otherwise you will program ONLY once.

Board is correctly advertised and performs as advertised

Was absolutely identical to Arduino and worked correctly with no problem. It loaded up both test and final program without a problem. A reliable clone.

Great product!

Looks good, arrived ahead of schedule and powered right up. I soldered on the pin headers and use a breadboard with an ArduinoISP to program it. No issues whatsoever. Great buy for a great price. Highly recommend it.

Pro Mini Rocks!

I love this format of the Arduino. I use it in all kinds of projects where space is a premium. Full functionality and lots of memory make it fast enough for what I need to do.
