Description

The Precise kilometer calculation kit is an automation unit to detect the fault in the cables and properly display the distance of the fault. Here we have used an AVR microcontroller with an inbuilt ADC. The voltage across the cable varies as per the fault at various distances. We measure the change in the voltage drop and on the basis of this we can tell the distance of the fault.

This Precise kilometer calculation by underground cable fault detector entire unit is monitored and controlled by the controller that is fault detection and displayed on LCD. Here we have introduced the manual faults using the switches at various places. The Precise kilometer calculation kit consists of a fault monitoring and introducing unit, the AVR family controller, and the display unit 16×2 LCD to display the fault distance. The kit is designed for 3 phase cable wiring.
