Electrical Appliances Controlling System Using Cell Phone

Description

The aim of this Controlling System Using Cell Phone Kit is to develop a home automation system that can be controlled remotely using a landline connection or mobile phones. Home automation is one of the most emerging trends in the modernization of home appliance control. Presently, conventional wall switches are located in different parts of the house and one has to physically go near them and press them to turn the loads on/off. It becomes very difficult for the elderly or physically handicapped people to do so.

This Electrical Controlling System Using Cell Phone Circuit is designed to provide control of home appliances through a landline by dialing the designated number for the particular load. Dialing can be done from the home phone or a call made to the home number from outside. This system is designed without engaging a programmable microcontroller but is based on digital logic using DTMF technology (Dual Tone multiple frequencies) which receives the command from the landline phone to develop digital output. This digital signal is further processed to actuate a switching mechanism through the relay driver to turn on/off the loads/appliances.
