Four Quadrant DC Motor
The aim of this Four quadrant dc motor kit is to analyze the four-quadrant speed control of the DC motor. The motor is operated in four quadrants viz, clockwise; counter-clockwise, instantaneous forward brake, and instantaneous reverse brake. The speed of the DC motor is directly proportional to the DC voltage applied across its terminals. Hence, if we control the voltage applied across its terminal, we actually can control its speed.

Description
A DC motor plays a major role in many industrial fields, it can be found in many electronic devices. Generally, they are used for physical movements, such as rolling the bundle of sheets or CD drives, or lifting. Instantaneous brake happens as a result of applying a reverse voltage across the running motor for a brief period. Here we use a microcontroller from the 8051 families. Push buttons are used as inputs to control the motor speed, to change direction, and also to apply brakes to the motor. PWM is generated at the output by using a program burned onto the microcontroller. The aim of this Four quadrant dc motor kit is to analyze the four-quadrant speed control of the DC motor.
