The DC-DC 4.5-40V to 5V 2A USB Charger Step-Down Converter Voltmeter Module is a durable, high-quality device made with electronic components, surface nickel plating (anti-rust), and a pure copper inner conductor. This module efficiently converts an input voltage range of 4.5-40V into a stable 5V output with a maximum current of 2A, perfect for charging devices via its USB port.To use, simply connect the module to a power supply, and it will display the real-time input voltage on the built-in voltmeter. Press the "Output Enable" button to begin charging devices like phones, iPads, and MP3 players at a regulated 5V 2A output. When not in use, the "Low Power" button activates ultra-low-power standby mode, turning off the USB output and conserving energy.

Note:
This module defaults D + D- short, most of the cell phone charger is compatible, and set aside a variety of mobile phones identification resistor installation location, if you need to add the identification resistor, please connect D + D- wires cut, then added.
Voltmeter Calibration Method
- Step1: Press the “Output Enable” button more than 2 seconds, release, voltmeter flashes, this time into the voltage regulation mode;
- Step2: Press the “Output Enable” button (normal speed), the voltage value is adding up a unit; Press the “Low Power” button, minus a unit; Due to a unit is less than 0.1V, the minimum voltage display to 0.1V, so you need to continuously press 1-5 times to see the voltmeter change 0.1V, how many times voltmeter change 0.1V by pressing the button, depending on the current display voltage, the higher the voltage, the fewer the number of press.
- Step3: press the “Output Enable” button for more than 2 seconds, release, to exit the voltage calibration mode. Data is not lost after the power failure.

I bought this to power my Pi's without having to plug in. Pi screens normally cover your GPIO pins so there's no easy way to mount the Pi hat batteries. This little step down circuit is overall just handy to have around. Additionally, there is an empty 5V and ground pad on the sides of the USB if you wanted to solder pins on for additional power output. I did this to power a secondary fan for my Pi as the screens tend to run warm with only a single fan.
I using this buck voltage converter to power a raspberry Pi from a Creality 3D Pro printer. I am setting up Octoprint so I can go wireless to my printer. On Thingiverse they have a case for raspberry PI & buck converter item thing:2889371 to mount to this printer. What I like about this unit is usb connector & digital read out. It's still work a in progress . I have to print out case for raspberry PI.
