Solar Sun Seeker
In the solar sun seeker kit, the simplest of all uses an LDR– a Light Dependent Resistor to detect light intensity changes on the surface of the resistor. The main objective of this kit is to generate maximum power from the sunlight. This project helps for power generation by setting the equipment to get maximum sunlight automatically. Here is the design of the tracking unit only (Prototype). This system is tracking for maximum intensity of light. When there is a decrease in the intensity of light, this system automatically changes its direction to get the maximum intensity of light.
In the kit solar sun seeker here we are using two sensors in two directions to sense the direction of maximum intensity of light. The difference between the outputs of the sensors is given to the microcontroller unit. We are using the microcontroller for tracking. It will process the input voltage from the comparison circuit and control the direction in which the motor has to be rotated so that it will receive the maximum intensity of light from the sun.

Description
This solar sun seeker shows the potential system benefits of a simple tracking solar system using a motor and light sensor. This method is increasing power collection efficiency by developing a device that tracks the sun to keep the panel at a right angle to its rays. A solar tracking system is designed, implemented, and experimentally tested. Many different methods have been proposed and used to track the position of the sun.In the solar sun seeker kit, the simplest of all uses an LDR– a Light Dependent Resistor to detect light intensity changes on the surface of the resistor.
