The Four Wheel Steering System Using Gear and Chain Mechanism is a new mechanical project that shows how to make the steering of a vehicle more advanced. This model is different from regular two-wheel steering because all four wheels can turn at the same time. The design makes the turning radius smaller, the maneuverability better, and the stability better when going around corners.
The system has a rigid metal frame that sits on four wheels. Chains, sprockets, and gear linkages connect the steering wheel to the steering arms on each wheel. When you turn the steering wheel, the sprocket-gear mechanism sends synchronized motion through the chain drive, which makes the front and back wheels turn at the same angle. This is like the real-world four-wheel steering technology found in smart cars, forklifts, farm vehicles, and off-road machines.
