The Helical Wind Turbine is a practical vertical axis wind energy project designed to demonstrate how wind power can be converted into mechanical and electrical energy. Unlike traditional horizontal wind turbines, this helical design rotates smoothly regardless of wind direction, making it highly efficient in low and variable wind conditions.
This project uses a twisted blade (helical) structure mounted on a vertical shaft, which helps reduce vibration, noise, and startup resistance.
