Description
Regenerative Braking System
The Regenerative Braking System is a new science and engineering project that shows how you can turn kinetic energy into electricity when you stop. This model works on the same basic idea as electric and hybrid cars do to save energy.
The motor acts like a generator when the wheel turns (like when a car moves) and the brakes are hit. The wheel's movement makes electricity that can be stored or used to power small things like LEDs. The wheel assembly, DC motor, belt and pulley system, control circuit, and pedal switch all work together to turn on the brakes and the regeneration.
Through this project, students learn important things about how to save energy, change electricity into mechanical energy, and use transportation methods that are good for the environment. It works great for science fairs, STEM schools, and engineering events.
This design shows how to use gears and mechanical advantage to move power from one place to another. It's a fantastic way for engineering students to learn how to move heavy things, like screw mechanisms and gear trains.
NOTE: The picture is only meant to show what it looks like. The final product's size may be a little different. The color of the input materials may also change depending on what is available, but the variation does not affect how the product works. The final product won't look as good as the picture since it's just for the student project.
