Uni Directional Motion
The Uni Directional Motion project demonstrates how a machine can be designed to rotate in only one direction while blocking movement in the opposite direction. This working model uses a practical combination of gears, chains, shafts, and a pulley system to show how one-way motion is achieved in real mechanical setups.
When the handle is turned forward, the gear arrangement transfers motion smoothly to the output shaft. But when the handle is rotated backward, the mechanism stops the motion, allowing rotation in only one permitted direction. This helps students understand how machines control power flow and prevent reverse movement.
The entire setup is mounted on a strong metal frame, giving it good stability during operation. It is an ideal model for mechanical engineering students, school laboratories, and science exhibitions, where learners can observe how one-way motion is used in systems like bicycles, conveyor belts, ratchet mechanisms, and lifting devices.
