Hall Effect Two Channel Magnetic Rotary AB Encoder for DC motors
Operating with an input voltage range of 3.3V to 5V and drawing a maximum current of 10mA, the encoder delivers square wave outputs (A and B) that oscillate between 0V and Vcc, with a 90° phase shift between them. The frequency of transitions indicates motor speed, while the order of transitions determines the rotation direction.
By capturing both rising and falling edges of the A and B outputs, the system achieves precise position tracking. The encoder comes as a complete package with essential mounting accessories, including a magnet and connecting cable, making it easy to integrate into various motor control applications.

Description
Hall Effect Two Channel Magnetic Rotary AB Encoder for DC motors
The Hall Effect Two-Channel Magnetic Rotary AB Encoder is designed for precise rotation sensing in DC motors. It utilizes a two-channel Hall effect sensor to detect the movement of a magnetic disk attached to the rear protrusion of the motor shaft. This quadrature encoder provides a resolution of 7 counts per revolution of the motor shaft when counting both edges of both channels. To determine the counts per revolution at the gearbox output, simply multiply the gear ratio by 48.Operating with an input voltage range of 3.3V to 5V and drawing a maximum current of 10mA, the encoder delivers square wave outputs (A and B) that oscillate between 0V and Vcc, with a 90° phase shift between them. The frequency of transitions indicates motor speed, while the order of transitions determines the rotation direction.
By capturing both rising and falling edges of the A and B outputs, the system achieves precise position tracking.
