Using simple AT commands, it can be configured in Central, Peripheral, Master, Slave, or Master-Slave modes. Please note that this is a BLE 4.0 module and does not support classic Bluetooth protocols. The module can also be upgraded with HM-10 firmware if required, which is a common practice within the maker community.

Description
JDY-08 CC2541 Bluetooth 4.0 BLE Serial Module – Description
The JDY-08 CC2541 Bluetooth 4.0 BLE Serial Module is a compact, low-cost, and highly capable wireless communication module based on the popular Texas Instruments CC2541 chipset. Despite its small size, it delivers reliable Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.0) performance and has benefited from years of refinement. The module is mounted on a breakout base plate that accepts an input voltage range of 3.3V to 6V and regulates it down to a stable 3V supply, making it easy to use with common microcontrollers without external regulators.Designed for ultra-low power operation, the JDY-08 supports wireless serial (UART) communication with Android, iPhone, Arduino, and other platforms. Using simple AT commands, it can be configured in Central, Peripheral, Master, Slave, or Master-Slave modes. Please note that this is a BLE 4.0 module and does not support classic Bluetooth protocols.
