The JDY-31 Bluetooth Module (6-Pin Version) is a classic Bluetooth serial communication module designed as a pin-compatible replacement for the HC-06. It is simpler to use, cost-effective, and widely adopted in embedded and DIY projects requiring reliable wireless UART communication. The module is based on Bluetooth 3.0 SPP (Serial Port Profile) and supports transparent data transmission with Windows, Linux, and Android devices.Operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM band with GFSK modulation, the JDY-31 offers a maximum transmission power of 8 dB and a communication range of up to 30 meters. Pin Configuration (6-Pin)
- 1 – STATE: Connection status output (low = not connected, high = connected)
- 2 – RXD: Serial receive pin (connect to TX of MCU)
- 3 – TXD: Serial transmit pin (connect to RX of MCU)
- 4 – GND: Ground
- 5 – VCC: Power supply (1.8–3.6 V, 3.3 V recommended)
- 6 – EN: Enable pin (high = enabled, low = disabled)
Usage Notes
- Basic operation requires only VCC, GND, RXD, and TXD connections
- To actively disconnect while connected, use the AT+DISC command
- EN pin allows software or hardware control of module enable/disable
