Description

30A range Current Sensor Module ACS712

The 30A range Current Sensor Module ACS712 consists of a precise, low-offset, linear Hall circuit with a copper conduction path located near the surface of the die. Applied current flowing through this copper conduction path generates a magnetic field in which the Hall IC converts into a proportional voltage.

Sensing and controlling current flow is a fundamental requirement in a wide variety of applications including, over-current protection circuits, battery chargers, switching mode power supplies, digital watt meters, programmable current sources, etc.

This ACS721 current module is based on the ACS712 sensor, which can accurately detect AC or DC current.

The maximum AC or DC that can be detected can reach 30A, and the present current signal can be read via analog I / O port of Arduino.

Pain in the neck to work with...

A powerful stabilizer algorithm is needed as the numbers jump all over the place, just as sloppy measuring DC as well as AC.

Great product.

I'm pleased. I needed to measure about 20 Amps, both AC and DC. I needed the sensor to be isolated from the circuit. These little Hall Effect sensors worked perfectly for my needs.

sensors work gang busters, No problems, interface to ad converter was 10k resistor and .01uf cap parallel to ground to help control noise, no problems slicker than owl snot.

Works good, but the precision isn't as good as I ...

Works good, but the precision isn't as good as I had hoped with reading with an Arduino. I can only get 12 bit precision when measuring the voltage, which is several hundred milliamps per division. If you need precise measurements, you need a different device.
