High-Precision ADC Development Board: ADS1115 16-Bit Analog to Digital ConverterThe ADS1115 16-bit Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) 4 Channel Development Board with a Programmable Gain Amplifier Module is a high-performance solution for accurate and versatile analog-to-digital conversion. This advanced development board features a 16-bit ADC and a programmable gain amplifier, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of precision measurement and sensor interfacing applications.
ADS1115 16-Bit ADC – 4 Channel with Programmable Gain Amplifier is mostly used for microcontroller projects that need an analog-to-digital converter or when you want a higher-precision ADC. ADS1115 16-Bit ADC- provides 16-bit precision at 860 samples/second over I2C. The chip can be configured as 4 single-end input channels or two differential channels.
Additionally, ADC also includes a programmable gain amplifier, up to x16, to help boost up smaller single/differential signals to the full range. We like this ADC because it can run from 2V to 5V power/logic, can measure an extensive range of signals and it’s super easy to use. It is a great general-purpose 16-bit converter.
The ADS1115 chip is fairly small so it comes on a breakout board with ferrites to keep the AVDD and AGND quiet. Interfacing is done via I2C. The address can be changed to one of four options so you can have up to 4 ADS1115s connect on a single 2-wire I2C bus for 16 single-end inputs.
To get you to start, we have example code for both the Raspberry Pi (in our Ad fruit Pi Python library) and Arduino (in our ADS1X15 Arduino library repository) Simply connect GND to ground, VDD to your logic power supply, and SCL/SDA to your microcontroller’s I2C port and run the example code to start reading data.
High-Precision Analog-to-Digital Conversion - ADS1115 16-Bit ADCExperience high-precision analog-to-digital conversion with the ADS1115 16-bit ADC. This development board is equipped with a 16-bit ADC, providing precise and reliable conversion of analog signals into digital data. Whether you're measuring sensor outputs or capturing voltage readings, this board ensures accurate and consistent results for your projects.
Versatile 4-Channel Input - Multi-Signal Processing The ADS1115development board features four input channels, allowing you to process multiple analog signals simultaneously. This versatility is particularly valuable in applications requiring multi-channel measurements, such as industrial automation, data acquisition, and environmental monitoring. With multi-signal processing capabilities, this board empowers you to handle complex data sets efficiently.
Programmable Gain Amplifier ADS1115- Enhanced Signal ControlThe integrated programmable gain amplifier (PGA) in this development board enables precise control over signal amplification. You can adjust the gain to accommodate various signal levels, ensuring accurate conversion of weak and robust analog signals. The programmable gain feature enhances the board's adaptability and flexibility for diverse measurement requirements.
