I used one of these converters with output adjusted to 2.5vdc. It powers a triple exhaust fan for my car from 12vdc. It's so small it fits into the battery cavity replacing 2 AA batteries. Love it.
I used this to knock 24vdc down to 5vdc for a Raspberry Pi. It was easy and straight forward.
Bought it to wire 12v fan on my 24v 3d printer.Holes big enough for easy wire soldering, adjustment screw is solid, set it up for 12v using multimeter and it works flawlessly so far.Still have a second one unpacked for future projects.

Inexpensive for what it is. Easy to adjust and put into service.
Simply solder in the line side, adjust the voltage on the output side, then solder on your output wires. Too easy!
These are working great for my projects. Easy enough to hook up. They are a little bulky. But if space is non issue I can't fault the unit.
It worked first time but when i charged second time It stopped working
