Pneumatic can crusher
The Pneumatic Can Crusher is a strong working model that shows how you can use compressed air to make a lot of force to crush metal cans. This project has a pneumatic cylinder that is connected to an air compressor or pump by air tubes. The air pressure makes a strong push in a straight line. When the system is turned on, compressed air enters the cylinder and moves the piston forward. This pushes the can into the crushing chamber and flattens it with a set amount of force.
The model is safe, stable, and easy to understand for demonstrations because it has a strong base and a guided crushing frame. A pressure gauge lets students see how the output force changes when the air pressure changes. This project is a great way to learn about Pascal's Law, how to turn pressure into force, the basics of automation, pneumatic actuation, and how to use these ideas in business.
