The SN65HVD21DR (VP21) is an extended‑common‑mode RS‑485/RS‑422 transceiver IC designed for long‑cable and harsh‑environment networks. It supports data rates up to 5 Mbps, operates on 4.5–5.5 V, includes wide common‑mode tolerance (–20 V to +25 V), 130 mV receiver hysteresis, failsafe behavior and high ESD protection—ideal for industrial or avionics applications.
