As the user swipes the card, his card number will be sent to the microcontroller; the controller reads the data and sends it to the computer. The communication between computer and microcontroller is serial. There is an application running on the pc which will read the data. After reading the complete data, the microcontroller will search the information in the database, if there is matching, the information will be shown on the terminal, otherwise, nothing will be displayed. The receiver system is powered with a DC supply of 12V, 1A.
