SMS based Speed and direction control of stepper motor
The SMS-controlled stepper motor is the controller that receives the message and decodes it and identifies the task to be done. Here we designed an electronic control unit to control the stepper motor (speed and direction) remotely just by sending SMS from our mobile. The SMS is sent in a definite format hence can be controlled by a definite user.
This SMS controlled stepper motor kit to control the stepper motor operation (speed and direction), we have to send just an SMS in a particular format, as soon as the SMS gets received by the microcontroller; it fetches the detailed data from the SMS and controls the motor accordingly. A proper message is also displayed on the LCD for the same (Optional).In the motor interfacing part, we will be needed a unipolar stepper motor and L293D IC to interface the motor with the microcontroller. Any message to be displayed can be sent by SMS anywhere.

An SMS-controlled stepper motor is designed with this project is designed with an idea to use the mobile handset as a long-distance remote controller. Mobile sets are now used most widely and very commonly. The SMS can be sent to any mobile user of any service provider with no or a minimum charge. This system is designed using a GSM modem. The GSM modem is configured as a receiver. The SMS sent by the user is written in a particular format.The SMS-controlled stepper motor is the controller that receives the message and decodes it and identifies the task to be done.
