Working Principle

The SIM900 module communicates using AT commands over a UART interface. After inserting a valid SIM card and connecting an external antenna, the module registers on the GSM network. Once connected, it can send and receive SMS, make voice calls, and transmit data over GPRS. The onboard RF circuitry manages cellular communication, while the host microcontroller controls operations using serial commands.
