XKC-KE200-NPN DC 5-24V Non-Contact Infrared Sensor

The XKC-KE200-NPN Non-Contact Infrared Sensor is an intelligent infrared detection switch that senses people or objects without physical contact. Using infrared diffuse reflection technology, it switches its NPN open-collector output when an object enters or leaves the detection area, making it suitable for automatic lighting, touch-free equipment and industrial controllers.

Operating on a DC 5-24V power supply, the sensor features sunlight-interference resistance for indoor and outdoor installations. Its specified sensing ranges are 5-200cm indoors, 5-150cm outdoors and 5-100cm in direct sunlight. Actual detection distance can vary with the object colour and ambient light.

This normally open (NO) NPN model has a rear sensing-distance adjustment button, a response time of 500ms or less, quiescent current of less than 3.5mA, and a PC-V0 flame-retardant housing with IP67 protection. Its threaded panel-mount design supports installation in compatible equipment.

Sensing Distance Adjustment Instructions

Power the sensor and place an approximately 80 × 60cm cardboard target directly in front at the desired distance, within 80cm for the manual's adjustment procedure.
Open the rear cover and press and hold the adjustment button until the red LED begins flashing.
Wait for the automatic adjustment process to finish. Adjustment is complete when the LED stops flashing.
Detection distance may vary with the target colour and ambient light conditions.
