This infrared thermometer is designed for non-contact temperature sensing, so you can safely measure hot surfaces and moving parts. An internal 17-bit ADC and a powerful DSP contribute to the high accuracy and resolution you expect from an mlx90614 infrared temperature sensor module. In addition, the gy 906 mlx90614 board has a field of view of 35 degrees and returns the average temperature of all objects within this cone, which makes the mlx90614 sensor ideal for body temperature measurement, movement detection, and thermal monitoring.
Note: This sensor comes with a breakout board with all of the components needed for operation and two types of pins. The included headers make it simple to plug the gy 906 mlx90614 module into breadboards or custom PCBs, and the compact mlx90614 sensor module fits easily into enclosures for finished products.
