Description
The Digital Sensor TTP223B Module Capacitive Touch Switch is based on a touch-sensing IC (TTP223B) capacitive touch switch module. Allows you to remove the worry of conventional push-type keys. It is based on a capacitive touch switch module IC (TTP223B). If the module is mounted on surfaces of non-metallic materials such as plastic, glass, acrylic, you can make the keys hidden in the walls and desks.Digital Capacitive Touch Switch Module is based on TTP223B. Normally, it outputs low and keeps at a low power state. When a touch is sensed on the circular marked region, it outputs high and switches to the quick response state. When not being touched for 12 seconds, it switches to a low power state again.
In addition to the thin paper ( non-metallic ) covering the surface of the Digital Sensor TTP223B Module, as long as the correct location of the touch, you can make hidden in the walls, desktops, and other parts of buttons. Its positive and negative can be used as a touch surface, it can replace the traditional touch button.
Touch Sensor Interface
- Control Interface: A total of three pins (GND, VCC, SIG), GND to the ground, VCC is the power supply, SIG digital signal output pin
- Power Indicator: Green LED, power on the right that is shiny
- Touch area: Similar to a fingerprint icon inside the area, you can touch the trigger finger.
- Positioning holes: 4 M2 screws positioning hole diameter is 2.2mm, the positioning of the module is easy to install, to achieve inter-module combination.

These work great. I tested all 10 of them just to be sure. :) However, I prefer these switches for most uses. It helps that these only use 1 pin on the Arduino.
These are great little momentary touch sensors - simple, responsive, pre-soldered and high quality. Plus, they look cool enough to leave exposed in projects. As others have pointed out, the hardware can be modded to act as a toggle switch if that's what you're looking for - or you can just handle this with some code. I've very happy with these little switches and look forward to incorporating them into my projects.
Great value and all worked perfectly.
This is the "momentary" variety of the touch sensor - touch and it turns on, release and it turns off. The description was not real clear on that. Works pretty good even without an Arduino. I hooked up a couple of leds, touched the sensor, and viola! the leds lit up, took my finger away and they went dark.
worked like a charm!
I was able to get this working with a Raspberry Pi and a ESP8266 board with Python/Micro-Python. You can even feed a wire through the small hole next to the sensor and use anything conductive as the touch sensor (steel plate, coin, banana, whatever.)
These are active high devices. They can be modified for active low, but you will have to cut a trace and solder some pins....
Work great for my arduino keyboard, snd very reasonably priced.
