DescriptionAn Astable Multivibrator or a Free Running Multivibrator is a multivibrator that has no stable states. Its output oscillates continuously between its two unstable states without the aid of external triggering. The time period of each state is determined by Resistor Capacitor ( RC ) time constant.
The Astable Multivibrator Transistor working can be understood clearly from the given circuit diagram. The components R3, C1 and R2, C2 determine the on-off period of the transistor. Both the transistor keeps turning on and off alternatively as per period.
