Automatic Bathroom Lamp

Description

Introducing you to a very unique Automatic Bathroom Lamp. This simple circuit is not just a lamp is also used as an automatic bathroom lamp controller. It disables the bathroom lamp in the daytime and enables it at night. This circuit consists of a light-dependent resistor (LDR), a read switch, an LM358 IC, and a 12V 1-change over relay (C/O). This circuit is triggered by opening and closing the bathroom door.

When the bathroom door is closed, a magnet comes near the reed switch and shorts the Power Control Automatic Lamps terminals. Then the bulb will be not glowing. When the bathroom door is opened, the magnet moves away from the reed switch and opens its terminals relay energizes and the lamp glows. When the bathroom door is opened, the lamp remains on. After entering the bathroom do not close the door completely. If the bathroom door is completely closed, the lamp will be switched off. During the daytime, lamp operation is not necessary due to the presence of sunlight so LDR is used.

Fit the LDR Lamp near the bathroom window where it can receive sunlight (reflected sunlight is enough). In the daytime, if you open the bathroom door, the resistance of LDR reduces Relay does not energies and the lamp remains off. At night, if you open the bathroom door, the resistance of LDR is high, the lm358 IC gives a high signal. The relay energizes and the lamp is switched on.
