The temperature sensor used here is DS18B20. It is a highly sensitive sensor with a resolution of less than 0.50C. It communicates with a microcontroller using a one-wire protocol of communication.

The Power Saving Kit microcontroller takes the temperature data from the DS18B20 temperature sensor. Based on this data it decides which device is to be operated and at what power it is to be operated. The outputs of the microcontroller are fed into power. It is a very versatile kit and has applications in various fields. Its aim is to not only provide comfort to its user but also to conserve energy. It is an environmentally friendly kit that helps in saving more power.

This Automatic Control Power Saving Kit device is an intelligent system that can control devices (namely heater, fan, A.C.) based on room temperature. When the room temperature is very low it turns on the heater to heat the room. At medium temperature ranges, it turns on the fan. As the temp rises the speed of the fan is progressively increased. At higher temperature ranges it turns on the Air Conditioner to cool the room. Also at a very high temperature, it raises an alarm as a warning for the breakout of fire. Hence, it adds to the security feature of a house.
