Description

Nowadays, Wheeled Mobile Robots (WMRs) are built and the control system that is used to control them is made by Engineers. Depending on their desired design of WMR, Technicians made use of microcontrollers as controlling machines and dc motors for motion control. in this project, we would design a robot that is capable of detecting the edges or corners if it is on height.

Major components used in this project are IR sensors, microcontroller, motor driver, DC motor. In order to operate this robot, you have to press the buttons that are provided on the robot. As soon as it will be pressed the robot will start moving in the forward direction. The idea behind edge detection is that, if any edge comes in the path of the robot, the transmitted signal from the robot will not be further be received and it will recognize that there is an edge. The corresponding measures are taken and the robot will take turns in a predefined direction. Hence the robot will keep on moving to avoid any edge.
