Keeping these problems in mind, this project is an innovative low cost, a low energy-based industrial solution to forging and punching operations. A motorized portable hammer is a simple mechanical system in which a hammer is oscillated vertically up and down using a CAM wheel to perform forging or punching operation automatically. The CAM wheel is connected to a DC motor which consumes really low power to rotate with high torque. Due to the overall design of the CAM wheel, the hammer is slowly raised from its initial level and dropped hard onto a platform in order to execute the forging or punching process.
