Parking Space Detector using USS and send information on Mobile

Description

The parking space detector detecting the presence of a vehicle in parking, the slot is a difficult task, because it depends on the size of the vehicle and its orientation and on many more parameters. Here we have detected the slot using an ultrasonic distance sensor. The current status of the parking slot availability will be displayed on an LCD. Hence any customer can see the available slot on the LCD also. There is an additional facility by which a user can ask for the information of availability just by a miss call also. The system will send an SMS to the user in response to the missed call.

This parking space detector sensor can detect the distance of an object in front of it. Using this principle we have detected the presence/absence of the vehicle in front of the sensor. The microcontroller reads the data of the USS sensor and updates the status on the LCD continuously. A GSM modem is there interfaced with the microcontroller, through which the microcontroller can send the SMS to the person who asks for the information through miss calls.
