PC controlled scrolling message display

Description

In this PC-controlled kit, whatever we write on the PC can be used to display on the LCD at a distant place using a microcontroller. These types of systems are required in places, where the customer needs another display unit apart from the main display unit of the computer. For example on billing counters, on railway reservation counters, etc. Also, a display system for traffic control can be made for the whole city which can be controlled from one single location. PC controlled scrolling message display is using the microcontroller to display the message on the LCD that we type in the computer. The computer is connected to the microcontroller through a serial port. Whatever we write in the PC is then transferred to the microcontroller which is displayed on the LCD. Here only for demonstration, we are sending our keystrokes only to the LCD, but it can be integrated with any of the software of our computer. Also, we can add multiple display units on the same computer all displaying different data.

The user will type the data to be displayed in the PC interface and send it to the controller via the USB to the UART interface. The controller kit will read the data and display it on LCD. Later on, the data will scroll also.
