RF Based Temperature monitoring of transformer and acquisition system
There RF-Based Temperature monitoring of the transformer has two temperature sensors one for oil monitoring and the other for winding temperature monitoring. The temperature sensor DS18B20 senses the temperature and converts it into an electrical signal, which is applied to the microcontroller through ADC. The analog signal is converted into digital format by the analog-to-digital converter (ADC inbuilt in the controller itself). The sensed and set values of the temperature are also displayed on the LCD. There is a buzzer or alarm also. The controller transmits this temperature wirelessly to the remote location using RF.

Description
RF Based Temperature monitoring of the transformer is very compact using a few components and can be implemented for several applications including air-conditioners, water-heaters, snow melters, ovens, heat-exchangers, mixers, furnaces, incubators, thermal baths, and veterinary operating tables. ATMEGA168 microcontroller is the heart of the circuit as it controls all the functions. In this kit, we are implementing transformer temperature monitoring of the transformer oil and the winding of the transformer which is being transmitted wirelessly to the remote location to check the data on the Laptop or PC.There RF-Based Temperature monitoring of the transformer has two temperature sensors one for oil monitoring and the other for winding temperature monitoring.
- The temperature is transmitted in the RF range and received by a 433 MHz Receiver. The data which is in the air is an analog value.
- At the receiving end, the receiver receives this analog value on a single data line and passes this data to the RF receiver.
- The RF receiver gives the received data to the controller.
- Now the Controller transmits the data to the PC to display using the UART communication protocol.
