SMS based voting machine
Using SMS based voting system we can vote from our home just by sending an SMS in a particular format from our mobile. The voting system receives this message and microcontroller decodes and verifies the format if both formats match. Then the microcontroller accepts the vote otherwise rejected the vote. A GSM modem is used to receive messages from voters. And we are using an LCD to display the vote.
We are using the underlying technology of the GSM modem to build an SMS based voting system. This kit is designed with the idea to use the cell phone as a remote controller. Cell phones are now a day’s used most widely and very commonly. We have made the project from a portability point of view; hence all the data are stored inside the microcontroller itself so that there is no need for a computer.
