Timing based solar tracker
In the kit timing-based solar tracker the solar panel tracking unit will be designed in this kit. This is one of the drawbacks of the design of the solar panels in use today, the model can be improved further by a slight change in its architecture, we can attach a servo motor and a Real-time clock (RTC) to improve its performance b making the solar panel move along with the orientation and movement of the sun during the day.
The timing-based solar tracker circuit is using an RTC to control the tracking of panels to face the sun. The RTC provides us the time which is converted into a digital signal using an IC and fed into a microcontroller. With the lapse of time, the earth rotates the microcontroller reads the time lapsed and commands the servo motor connected to it to move by the calibrated angle to face the sun for maximum power.

Description
The timing-based solar tracker shows the potential system benefits of a simple tracking solar system using a motor and RTC. This method is increasing power collection efficiency by developing a device that tracks the sun to keep the panel at a right angle to its rays. A solar tracking system is designed, implemented, and experimentally tested. This is to design the tracking system only not the power generation. In the kit timing-based solar tracker the solar panel tracking unit will be designed in this kit.
