Description
Water tank overflow is a common problem that leads to the wastage of water. Though there are many solutions to it like ball valves which automatically stop the water flow once the tank gets full. So here is a simple and handy DIY water alarm project that will guide you to make a circuit that will detect the water level and will raise an alarm upon getting the water tank full or a preset level.
This Water Level Alarm Circuit is a very basic circuit, describing the operation of 555 timers as astable mode. The time during which the water tank is full, the trigger pin is connected with the ground via low conducting water. As soon the water tank goes empty, it becomes disconnected from the ground and the 555 timer starts working as astable mode.
In this Water tank overflow kit, a buzzer is there which gets triggered. All the components are circuit is standard as that of 555 timers in astable mode. There is a large number of circuits inside a 555 timer and it is generally used in two modes of its operation – astable mode and monostable mode. The LED D1 is used here for indication purposes only, ie as soon the power becomes available to the circuit, the LED gets turned on.
