XKC-003K4-V DC 4.5-20V Pyroelectric Body Sensor – High/Low Signal Output

The XKC-003K4-V Pyroelectric Body Sensor is a passive infrared (PIR) motion-detection module designed to detect changes in infrared radiation associated with human movement. Its compact housing, integrated sensing lens and non-contact operation make it suitable for automatic lighting, security alarms and electronic automation projects.

Operating on a DC 4.5-20V power supply, this V-output model provides a high/low signal (3.3V HIGH, 0V LOW) for connection to compatible control circuits. It offers selectable retriggerable and non-retriggerable modes, an adjustable output delay of 5-300 seconds and a 1-second lockout time.

With a specified detection distance of up to 7m, detection angle of less than 110° and quiescent current of less than 200µA, the sensor is suitable for low-power indoor motion-activated applications. Photosensitive control and temperature-compensation options are available only when specified for the supplied version.

Installation and Usage Notes

  • Install the sensor so the PIR lens faces the area where movement is to be detected.
  • Use the mounting holes for secure installation and keep the lens unobstructed.
  • Select the L or H trigger mode and set the required output delay according to the application.
  • Avoid pointing the sensor directly at rapidly changing heat sources or strong airflow that may affect PIR detection.
  • Detection distance depends on movement, ambient conditions and installation position.
