The XKC-Y26A-NPN 24V is a thin-tube non-contact capacitive liquid level sensor designed for detecting liquid inside small-diameter non-metallic pipes. The sensor is mounted externally around the pipe using its integrated spring-clip mechanism and detects liquid through the pipe wall without requiring direct contact with the liquid.This model operates from a 24V DC power supply and provides an NPN transistor output interface. It is suitable for water pipelines, liquid dispensing equipment, automatic filling systems, water purification equipment, industrial automation, PLC systems and liquid-level monitoring applications.

Working Principle
The XKC-Y26A-NPN uses the capacitive sensing principle. When no liquid is present near the sensing section, the sensor maintains its normal static capacitance. As liquid inside the pipe reaches the sensing position, additional parasitic capacitance is introduced.The internal signal-processing circuit detects this capacitance change and converts it into an electrical signal. When the change exceeds the preset threshold, the sensor determines that liquid has reached the detection point and switches the NPN output.

Installation Method
Installation Procedure
- Carefully pull open the spring clips
- Place the liquid pipe between the two spring clips
- Release the clips so the sensor securely grips the pipe
- Ensure the sensing section remains in close contact with the pipe
- Position the sensor at the required liquid-level detection point
- Suitable for pipe outer diameters from 5mm to 10mm
- Maximum pipe diameter should not exceed approximately 11mm
- Do not open the spring clip beyond approximately 60°
After Installation
Sensitivity Adjustment
- Use a small screwdriver to adjust sensitivity
- Rotate counterclockwise to increase sensitivity
- Rotate clockwise to decrease sensitivity
- Adjust sensitivity after installing the sensor on the actual pipe
Pipe Diameter Requirement
- Recommended Pipe Outer Diameter: 5mm to 10mm
- Maximum Pipe Outer Diameter: Approx. 11mm
- Suitable for thin non-metallic pipes
- Ensure the sensing clip fits tightly around the pipe
