MH-SR602 MINI Motion Sensor Detector Module For Arduino
Motion Detection: When a person or object moves within the detection range of the PIR sensor, it causes a change in the pattern of detected infrared radiation. The PIR sensor detects this change and generates a signal indicating the presence of motion.
Digital Output: The MH-SR602 module provides a digital output signal. When motion is detected, the output goes high (1); when no motion is detected, the output goes low (0).
Sensitivity and Time Delay: Many PIR sensor modules, including the MH-SR602, allow you to adjust sensitivity and time delay settings. Sensitivity adjustment allows you to set the level of motion required to trigger the sensor, and time delay adjustment determines how long the sensor remains active after detecting motion.
Lighting Control: In home automation and commercial lighting control systems, PIR sensors like the MH-SR602 are used to automatically turn on lights when motion is detected and turn them off after a preset time of no motion. This is commonly used for energy-saving purposes.
Automation and Robotics: PIR sensors are used in automation and robotics applications to detect the presence of people or objects and trigger specific actions or responses.
Mounting and Positioning: Proper mounting and positioning of the module are crucial for reliable motion detection. Ensure that the module is directed toward the area where you expect motion to occur.
Interference: PIR sensors are sensitive to changes in heat radiation, so avoid placing them near heat sources or direct sunlight, which can cause false triggers.
Voltage Compatibility: Ensure that the module receives the correct voltage (e.g., 3.3V or 5V) as per its specifications.

Description
The MH-SR602 MINI Motion Sensor Detector Module is a small and versatile motion sensor module that can be used with Arduino and other microcontroller platforms. It is designed to detect motion or movement within its detection range and is commonly used in various applications, including security systems, lighting control, and automation projects. Here's an overview of how it works and its common applications:
Passive Infrared (PIR) Sensor: The MH-SR602 module is equipped with a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor. PIR sensors are designed to detect changes in infrared radiation within their field of view.Motion Detection: When a person or object moves within the detection range of the PIR sensor, it causes a change in the pattern of detected infrared radiation.
Common Applications:
Security Systems: The MH-SR602 module can be integrated into security systems to detect motion in areas where intrusion detection is required. It can trigger alarms or activate surveillance cameras when motion is detected.Lighting Control: In home automation and commercial lighting control systems, PIR sensors like the MH-SR602 are used to automatically turn on lights when motion is detected and turn them off after a preset time of no motion. This is commonly used for energy-saving purposes.
Automation and Robotics: PIR sensors are used in automation and robotics applications to detect the presence of people or objects and trigger specific actions or responses.
Usage Considerations:
Detection Range: The detection range of the MH-SR602 module depends on its specifications. Be sure to choose a module with a detection range suitable for your application.Mounting and Positioning: Proper mounting and positioning of the module are crucial for reliable motion detection.
MH-SR602 MINI Motion Sensor Detector Module is used as a Pyroelectric human body infrared sensor module. This module has a sensing distance of up to 5 meters. It Can be used for body sensor lights, alarms, and security.
Note: The high-level time of the output of this product is adjustable, 2.5 seconds to 1 hour, the output time set at the factory. It is 2.5 seconds, and you can change one chip resistor if you need to change it. Please read the resistance value corresponding to the typical delay time.
