Moreover, the sensitivity of signal detection can be conveniently adjusted using the onboard potentiometer. This feature helps you customize the trigger threshold for your specific needs. For example, you can automatically turn ON or OFF lamps depending on the light levels around your environment, or use it to regulate the brightness of LEDs inside your home.
The digital ldr module is simple to use — since it provides a digital output, you can instantly determine whether light is present and decide the next action. In addition, the module includes an M3 mounting hole for secure attachment, ensuring stable operation. It also comes equipped with a power LED and a status LED for easy visual feedback.
This module employs a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) that responds sensitively to ambient brightness. As light intensity increases, the resistance decreases, resulting in quick and reliable detection. Consequently, it’s commonly used for automatic lighting systems, camera light measurement, and solar-based automation.
How it Works:
1. When the surrounding light intensity reaches the set threshold, the D0 (digital output) pin goes HIGH.
2. If the light level falls below that threshold, the D0 pin outputs LOW.
3. The digital output (D0) can connect directly to an MCU or microcontroller such as Arduino, allowing detection of light intensity changes via simple HIGH/LOW logic.
4. This output can also directly drive a relay module, effectively creating a photoelectric switch for automated lighting or triggering systems.

Description
Digital LDR Module – Arduino Compatible Light Sensor
The Digital LDR Module is a versatile ldr light sensor designed to detect the presence and intensity of light accurately. It provides both digital and analog responses that make it ideal for automation, smart lighting, and light-sensitive projects. The module’s output goes high when exposed to sufficient light and becomes low in the absence of light, allowing you to detect environmental brightness easily.
